Video is almost two hours long and if you know both channels you will know it will be super geeky. JHS is pedal manufacturer who releases lot of pedal history videos. 60 Cycles Hum is Youtube channel fixated on spring reverbs. When you put these two together and let them talk about spring reverbs it will get geeky and fun. At least if you want to hear many spring reverbs played and talked about.
I had already ordered the pedal 60 Cycle Hum man thinks as bench mark of spring reverb pedals when I watched this.. I got idea of getting real spring reverbs pedal. Found one and started to check if Youtube had reviews and demos of it. That lead ordering one and watching spring reverbs videos. Way too many spring reverb videos including this. I have no problems because I also watched analog delay videos too.
Few words of pedalboard project I have mentioned before. It is related to finding this video. At the moment I am torn between 9 pedal and 14 pedal pedalboard. I have had problems deciding which delays and reverbs to have on board. Other pedals I have known almost since I started to plan. All those being analog pedals. At least as far as I know. My reverbs and delays are digital. That will change now. After I get analog reverb and delays I have everything I want in 9 pedal pedalboard. That board would lack high gain distortion, second fuzz and gate. I would get them with power supply extension which would give power to more pedals.
Current plan is to test if I am happy with 9 pedal before committing to it by buying pedalboard for them. Swapping fuzzes and overdrive to high gains distortion is doable but I am not sure is I need gate to be on board all the time. With humbuckers I need it only with high gain distortion. Single coils are different case. And I might want ambient reverb or two.
