This is last issue of Universe! as I am writing this. It took two years. Next issue has already taken longer. After reading first volume I wasn’t sure what this is. Now I have better understanding. There doesn’t seem to be bigger story going on. Stories just happen in same universe. At least this doesn’t have any connections to first five issues of the first volume.
Previous volumes told a story each. Sixth issue is collection of short stories ranging from one panel to few pages. I prefer longer stories. This has great ideas put into one panel when those ideas could have carried longer stories.. Level of quality is same as first five issues but ideas needed to be studied further. Problem is with one panel stories. Longer ones are given enough time. Just enough to tell the clever joke. There was one idea which could have filled the issue but others work better in short form.
If you like clever science fiction you have to check Universe!. This can only work in comic book format. It is sad large public sees comics to be about man dressing as bat and others like him when there are this kind of masterpieces available. I hope there is more to come. This issue mentions seventh and eight issue but it was years ago.
