This week I didn’t draw too much. I was too invested into making hardware synths to work in Cubase. By this week I mean last full week of November. Black Friday and stuff. I write these earlier and schedule them to keep constant flow of posts even when I don’t write them in constant manner. I could have skipped weekly finished drawing this week and you wouldn’t have noticed but I wanted to keep the schedule. I will get to Cubase setup later. This is about drawing which I should be able to do more now that Cubase setup looks better.
I think I found a correct tool for coloring the pictures. Don’t know if it is meant for that sort of thing but it gives results I like and that is important thing. Still use some brushes wrong but I don’t know what I should use to get results I want correctly.
I had bit different idea for this composition but due time constraints I simplified. I have drawing dates on title because I plan to return to these ideas when I get better. This is one where I will do the original idea later. Setting was reduced to some kind of warehouse area where I could draw boxes and it still makes some sense. Sketch was drawn using two point perspective tool. I just brought one vanishing point into picture. I think it doesn’t look too distorted. Originally planned to do it with one point perspective but tool didn’t allow me to move vanishing point to side. It wanted to have it at the center. I think this worked better than if I used one point perspective.
I made so many mistakes while drawing this. I draw on wrong layers. Forgot to create layers for some elements and so on. Don’t think it shows but it made cleaning things up harder. For example moon and buildings are on same layer. Should be on different layers. Ground is on two separate layers. Light shape is on same layer with buildings’ and moon’s lines when it should have been on own layer or same layer as man. You make these mistakes when you try to hurry and it costs later.
