Drawings
This time I used promotional photo of Boris Karloff’s Mummy as reference. I expected this to become more like Sin City but it didn’t go that direction. I just try to make these work and they become what they become.
Found few cool promo images for Mark of the Vampire. This is second Mark of the Vampire drawing. It won’t be the last. Didn’t plan to have this look like Sin City. It just went to that direction. I liked how it looked and went bit further.
I haven’t seen the movie. Had not seen even the trailed when I draw this. I saw cool photo of The Monster that Challenged the World. I tried to make it scarier than in photo. Used black shadows with highlights to give shape to the monster.
After drawing this I went to check the trailer. Here it is. When I draw this I thought monster was alien and man in suit but it wasn’t. Reference photo had only the head which didn’t tell much what the monster was like.
Found picture of Mark of the Vampire I had to try to draw. Nothing more special behind this drawing. I will draw more in portrait orientation because I have found good references and those show bigger here. I have put my later drawings to Drawings section. There you can find bigger versions of drawings with landscape orientation.
I have not seen the movie. After drawing this I went to check trailer and found this.
First attempt on portrait orientation. I used semi viral picture of Ukrainian girl standing in ruins of her school as reference. She wore dress she got for her graduation. She had normal plans for her graduation but Russians came to ruin them.
Forests of Finland is bad translation of Metsien Suomi. Can’t think of better one at the moment. Original implies Finland is made of forests. Girl is protesting how badly Finland’s forests are maintained. Used picture of this tweet as reference.
